As crossposted from the Forum Rules.

We encourage translations of resources (guides, tips, articles, etc.) written in English to other languages, as well as translation of non-English resources to English. There is a derth of tulpamancy resources written in other languages at the present time. Also, not all tulpamancy knowledge and insights come from the English speaking tulpamancy communities. The forum has a dedicated section (Translations) for translations of resources. There are subfora for translating to different languages. If a subforum for the language you are translating to doesn't exist, put it in Languages Awaiting A Subforum. The staff will then make a dedicated subforum for that language and it will be moved to it (or you can PM the staff ahead of time to make it to save a move). You may translate your own resources, or those of others. In the translation, you must link to the original and say whether it is an official translation (you were the author of the original, the original author requested that you to translate it, you translated it and the original author gave their seal of approval, etc.) or an unofficial translation and use the appropriate thread prefix ("Official Translation" or "Unofficial Translation" respectively). More than one translation to a particular language of the same guide, tip, etc. is allowed.

Not completely sure the support is perfect, namely if there are any issues with the forum handling right-to-left languages correctly. If you notice anything funny in those regards, please let us know.

    Where? We don't see it.

If the author of a guide, tip, or article then translates it to another language, that is an official translation. If the author asks someone to translate one for them, then that translation is an official translation. If someone translates a resource and then shows it to the author and the author decides to put their stamp of approval on it, then it is an official translation. Other translations are unofficial. We make this distinction to not claim a translation is approved or written by the author of the original piece and to encourage translations of resources not here on IO or when the author is no longer available, and to encourage re-translations as well. Basically, it is to avoid claiming any translations are definitive official translations unless that is actually the case. That, and with an "Unofficial" tag, it is hard for original authors, if they aren't happy with the translation, to try to get us to take it down since no claims are made to it being official.

[Breach] Only if you want a chance to change the tags to official. Otherwise, you don't need to.
